It can protect alarm control equipment and detectors from nearby lighting as well as induced Alternative Current.
It decouples induced alternative current from each alarm cable which is joint to the contol panel.
It has a standard fit and you need only one for control panel as well as each PSU.
You need to connect the RED+ and BLACK across the 12VDC auxiliary supply while the GREEN to mains Earth.

The spike suppressor is designed to keep fire alarm systems safe from induced AC and nearby lightning. It separate induced AC from every alarm cable that is attached with the control panel. It clamps 24 VDC supply against spikes.
It has red, black and green wires that have different functions. The Red+ and Black- wires across any 24 V fire alarm zone while the green connects to mains earth.
