The SPS Protector is a two-pole surge arrester with interference suppressor filter. It functions through mixing the interference suppressor filter and the surge protection. The two devices are compatible with each other, and avoid any core saturation of the filtering in the energetic transients. This highly advanced STC surge protection can be fitted easily. It is a two pole surge arrester so the module can be easily fitted on the back side of any standard earthed socket outlets thus the STC protection module can adapt to any type of socket outlet. Because of its plastic snap on retaining ring it can be easily installed on an already mounted earth socket outlet too. With the thermal disconnector it also has an acoustic fault indicator. The power supply of connected consumer does not change even in the case of overload because of the parallel installation of surge protection module to socket outlet.

The SP720 is basically an array of bipolar structures made for the purpose of protection from over-voltage and ESD protection that should be offered to sensitive input circuits. The SP720 offers two diode device structures per unit. There are a total of 14 inputs which are helpful in protecting 14 bus lines or external signals. Over-voltage protection is offered from IN (pins 1-7 and 9-15) to V+ or V-. These SCR structures have been manufactured for the purpose of triggering a threshold of one +VBE diode threshold above V+ (Pin16) or a -VBE diode threshold below V- (Pin 8). If the transient pulse accidentally causes the input to increase a single level greater than one VBE above V+, then from IN input, a clamp to V+ gets activated. A similar situation occurs in case of V- if a negative pulse gets activated to one less than V-.
