These products should be installed into the alarm system as a preventive measure as well as for added protection.
Features of ACT 1313+ 12V Spike Suppressor :
It can protect alarm control equipment and detectors from nearby lighting as well as induced Alternative Current.
It eliminates induced alternative current and RFI is attenuated up to 60 dB DC power cables which are connected to the ACT-1313-PLUS to prevent false alarms.
The 12VDC supply is clamped to the control panel , alarm detectors and plug-on communicators against spikes.
You need to connect the RED+ and BLACK across the 12VDC auxiliary supply while the GREEN to mains Earth.
It is cost effective as only one is needed for each PSU and control panel.
