Low-voltage DC drive - 16 A

The low voltage PWM DC from Bison comes with chassis drives that regulates the remote commands, a power LED, and adjustments to the trimmer part for optimum IR comp, current limit, speed and acceleration. The trimmer pots are non-contact, making calibration fast and user-friendly.

The PWM DC can handle an input voltage of 10 to 32 VDC and an output voltage of 95% of its initial input voltage. The PWM DC is equipped with a spade and screw terminal block that is easy to configure. Using the inhibit circuitry, the user can bring the motor to a stopping mode (N.O).

PWM DC drive - 2 - 5 A, 0 - 240 VDC

Bison's PWM DC Chassis is a filtered pulse-width-modulated variable speed DC drive that provides nearly pure DC power for brush type motors, with the same footmount as the SCR controls. With a high switching frequency of 16.5kHz, the motor features a 1% regulation over 100:1 speed range. Its user-adjustable calibration pots (IP compensation, min-max speed, current limit, acceleration and deceleration) are complemented by LEDs for power and current limits status for diagnostic monitoring. Installation time is also reduced with its cage clamp terminal block for rapid and simple wire terminations.

PWM DC drive - 3 - 10 A, 0 - 180 VDC

The Regen drive series from Bison consists of four-quadrant and full-wave regenerative SCR controls to enable braking torque and seamless motoring for DC motors with brush-type technology. There are a number of calibration pots that can be adjusted by the operator: forward torque, reverse acceleration, deadband, minimum and maximum speed, etc.

The series has the ability to control motors from 1/20 – 1HP for bi-directional or single directional variable speed without the use of contactors. Speed range and regulation options include 1% regulation over a speed range of 1% over 50:1 or 1% over 60:1 with a tachometer for feedback. Stopping modes allow the operator to decelerate (NO), coast the motor to a stopping position (NO), or brake (NO).

Additional features include dual-voltage AC input, cage clamp terminal block, fast and simple wire termination and switchable selectable tachometer feedback mode or armature mode.

PWM DC drive - 1.5 - 10 A, 0 - 180 VDC

Bison’s SCR speed controls are dual voltage drives useful for controlling speed or torque. Upon selection of torque mode, there is a change in the functions of the speed and torque pots.

The torque reference is set by the external potentiometer, the highest speed is set by the on-board torque pot, and the maximum torque is set by the on-board Max Speed pot. The acceleration and deceleration time rang is between 0.5 to 17 seconds. The calibration pots can be adjusted by the user for IR compensation, minimum speed, maximum speed, torque, acceleration and deceleration. Power and current limit status is displayed on a LED.

In terms of topping modes, option is available for coasting to minimum speed or stopping with N.O. or N.C. inhibit contacts, which can be selected. The pot circuit can be used for deceleration to minimum speed. Enclosed reversing models include braking.

The chassis features user-friendly spade terminals and the enclosed units have screw terminals. The inhibit is highly flexible with an option to select the desirable functionality with jumper pins.
