Three-phase brushless DC motor speed controller - 0.8 - 8 A | DRV series

Texas Instruments' 3-Phase Brushless Driver Amplifiers and Linear Devices are belong to a sub-category of analog and mixed-signal compounds. There are two (so far) varying classifications of these 3-phase brushless drivers within the mixed-signal and analog compound category, with both possessing a required +12V gate drive supply feature, and a -40 to +85-degree Celsius operating temperature capacity.

Brushless DC motor speed controller - TB65xx series

The Toshiba three-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor driver ICs offer operators greater efficiency and reliability than standard brushed DC motors, and have a reduced noise output and increased lifespan. BLDC motor drivers do not create ionizing sparks and have an impressive electromagnetic interference (EMI) reduction.

The controllers are fitted with three bi-directional drivers controlled by a logic circuit and suitable for use with high-current DC power. The BLDC motor drivers can be purchased with or without sensors, depending on the application the driver is used in. The sensor-based BLDC is suitable for use with high initial torques and varying initial loads, while the sensor-less BLDC is ideal for use with applications such as power tools, compressors and fans.

DC drive

The 1 Q-controller WDS 1,8 I and 1 Q-controller WDS 3,5 I feature an adjustable armature current limiter. These controllers may be connected to an Analogue-Tacho 15 VDC/1000 RPM, and can be fitted in the switch cupboard using the supplied backing plate. A potentiometer is used to set value input.
