Bison’s SCR speed controls are dual voltage drives useful for controlling speed or torque. Upon selection of torque mode, there is a change in the functions of the speed and torque pots.The torque reference is set by the external potentiometer, the highest speed is set by the on-board torque pot, and the maximum torque is set by the on-board Max Speed pot. The acceleration and deceleration time rang is between 0.5 to 17 seconds. The calibration pots can be adjusted by the user for IR compensation, minimum speed, maximum speed, torque, acceleration and deceleration. Power and current limit status is displayed on a LED.
In terms of topping modes, option is available for coasting to minimum speed or stopping with N.O. or N.C. inhibit contacts, which can be selected. The pot circuit can be used for deceleration to minimum speed. Enclosed reversing models include braking.
The chassis features user-friendly spade terminals and the enclosed units have screw terminals. The inhibit is highly flexible with an option to select the desirable functionality with jumper pins.
