The Regen drive series from Bison consists of four-quadrant and full-wave regenerative SCR controls to enable braking torque and seamless motoring for DC motors with brush-type technology. There are a number of calibration pots that can be adjusted by the operator: forward torque, reverse acceleration, deadband, minimum and maximum speed, etc. The series has the ability to control motors from 1/20 – 1HP for bi-directional or single directional variable speed without the use of contactors. Speed range and regulation options include 1% regulation over a speed range of 1% over 50:1 or 1% over 60:1 with a tachometer for feedback. Stopping modes allow the operator to decelerate (NO), coast the motor to a stopping position (NO), or brake (NO).
Additional features include dual-voltage AC input, cage clamp terminal block, fast and simple wire termination and switchable selectable tachometer feedback mode or armature mode.
