It is possible to maintain good productivity and close tolerances with the Silent Tools dampened boring bars and adapters. This also applies to long tool overhangs over a 3 x bar diameter. Up to 10 x bar diameter can be machined with the Silent Tools dampened steel bars and the dampened carbide reinforced bars go even higher at up to 14 x bar diameter tool overhang.

A productivity increase of 50% for shorter boring bars and up to 400% for longer overhang lengths is achieved. The Silent Tools range provide an improved surface finish, improved chip evacuation, improved surface finish and a reduced cost per component.

They benefit from the unique Silent Tools dampening mechanism, internal coolant through the bar and a flexible modular SL interface.

Sandvik Coromant is a top notch deep hole drilling system producer. Among its long line of deep drilling solutions is the CoroDrill 805.

The CoroDrill 805 allows the deep hole drilling of a workpiece without the need to move it around. This prevents the material to move from one set up to another. Through this, deep hole drilling is now achievable without the additional pump capacity. This device also utilizes the same standard inserts as the CoroDrill 800.
