When changing screen, depending on size, the extruder must be stopped for between 30 and 60 seconds. Heavy-duty construction, with body made from a solid, one piece, steel billet. Custom built to fit any extruder. Can be mounted horizontally or vertically.
Available with fully automatic sealing system for working temperatures up to 280 ˚ C and with all metal adjustable seals for working temperatures up to 350˚ C.
Suitable also for rubber.

When changing screen, the extruder must be stopped for a short time (between 40 and 120 seconds, depending on the size).

The Contiflow filters polymers without interrupting the melt and expels air from the incoming breaker plate as it enters the melt flow. The two slide plates have a slow movement, allowing the incoming breaker plate to pre-fill with polymer.

These CA screen changers designed with a single or double plate complete the Filtec product range. This unit filters the molten product onto the pelletizing lines, as well as for the processing of blown films, casts and flat heads. The device comes in various versions, based on the product to filter, with electric or diathermic oil heating. The material is pushed from the extruder to the gear pump, and flows to an inner channel crossed by plate with a suitable filtering capacity.
The plate is activated through a cylinder, operated by a hydraulic control system. A particular probe determines the added pressure brought by clogging of the filtering net and delivers an alarm signal. This signal serves as a warning for the need to change the placement of the plate. Oval shaped filters may also be used for other applications.

The PSI Continuous Screen Changer can filter majority of polymers without any manufacturing interference during a screen replacement. It features two display bolts along with a filter hole for each of them. The bolt is removed from the assembly in case of a screen replacement while the rest of the parts remain intact in the operating dimension.
The dusty screen pakc can be easily detached and exchanged with a fresh one. Later the bolt can be placed into the assembly back to its venting dimension prior to further operation. Similar process can be used for the rest of the bolts as it permits consistent filtration without manufacturing damage. Moreover, the PSI Continuous Screen Changers are capable of handling ultra-high force applications and ensure a spillage-free performance of a maximum of 10,000 psi.

The Continuous Backflush Screen Changer (CSC/BF) is manufactured by Psi-polymersystems. Its screen life increased as many as 25 times or more. Contaminants are purged out of ports in the bottom of the housing into a drip pan. Once the backflush sequence takes place, the recycled screens are returned to the home position until the sequence takes place again. The number of backflush sequences varies from process to process before a screen change is required. Increased screen life of 25 times or more is common.
