A new comminution system which employs an air classifier and a jet mill, has been developed by Comex AS Norway, for laboratory use. The system can only be configured as the JMX50 jet mill with its internal air classifier, the ACX50 air classifier or as both JMX-ACX systems. It has compact equipment which requires small amount of input material. The operating system can provide completely automatic test procedures and all the operating parameters of the control unit are registered.

Test work with smaller portions, variable settings and operating parameters gain a significant flexibility due to the process capacity which is in the range of few kg per hr. The JMX jet mill placed on the load cells allows optimal work with the mill chamber being filled optimally. Particle size control is provided by an in-built air classifier.
