ETITEC Went surge arrestor is perfect for indoor applications. This protection corresponds to the IEC category I, II. The protection is made on the main distribution box, which stands as the first level of protection against surges caused by lightning strikes and partial direct. This Unit is distinguished by its small need for space, for a complete three phase system protection. Unit only needs a width of 4 modules. It represents a solution for systems as well as over-voltage protection for all types of network systems (TT, TNC, TNC-S and IT) can be easily incorporated.

The list of special advantages are as follows remote signalisation, indication window of faulty device, connection up to 35mm2, two module sistem (in case of failure of one of the modules protection is still possible), high degree of protection, high discharge currents and varistor is the protective element.

High-voltage surge arrester / type 1 / polymer - 9 - 36 kV | INZP series

The Polymeric INZP surge arrester tested and certified with the latest industry standard ANSI/IEEE C62.11 - 1993 for metal oxide arresters in addition to the IEC 99 - 4 for class line. These arresters are specifically designed to provide the complete set of benefits equipped by the metal oxide distribution arrester in light-weight, low profile polymeric housing suitable for both indoor and outdoor overhead applications.
The issues related with chipped or cracked porcelain, that arise due to rough handling or shipping, are completely eliminated by the polymeric housings. The porcelain housed units result in failure mode that are much severe than that arising with these INZP arresters.
In case of failure conditions with polymer housings, these INZP arresters split open in order to relieve the internal pressure. Unlike these, the case with porcelain housing is disastrous. When a violent failure condition arises with porcelain housings, thermal fracture of the porcelain housing occurs due to the internal arc from excessive fault current, which in turn causes the hot gases created by the arc to explode the porcelain fragments in all directions.

They are made up of :
- a primary protection stage using DGA 70 kA overvoltage arresters
- a secondary protection stage using DGX 10 kA overvoltage arresters

The DGM is a compact (two-pole) Type 1 AC Surge Protection Device (SPD) dedicated to be connected
at the entrance of the electrical installation. Particularly useful in a high lightning density area, this SPD is designed to provide an efficient protection for sensitive equipment against over voltage due to lightning effects or industrial interferences.
The DGM is a single-phase SPD and can be also used for 3-phase N AC networks protection (made of 2 DGM).
Protection is based on high energy varistors diagram which is able to channel currents of up to 100 kA to
earth without incurring damage. According to the latest issue of IEC 62 305 and IEC 60 364 standards,
it is compulsory to install those surge arresters on the incoming power supply if the building is fitted
with external lightning protection system. Multiple stage protection can be achieved using DGM
surge arresters at the network entrance combined with DGT or DGX surge

The DGV is a modular Type 1 AC Surge Protection Device (SPD) dedicated to protect sensitive
equipment against over voltage which may occur in the AC network during a storm (lightning) or during
switching electric power sources (industrial interferences).
The DGV is a one-pole SPD and can be used in common mode (DGV connected between L/PE and
N/PE = CT1 configuration) or common and differential mode (DGV connected between L/N and
1xDE 400 between N/PE = CT2 configuration).
Protection is based on specific heavy duty Gas tube and high energy varistor block which is able to

The DE is a Type 1 AC Surge Protection Device (SPD) dedicated to be connected at the entrance of the electrical installation. Particularly useful in a high lightning density area, this SPD is designed to provide protection for sensitive equipment against over voltage due to lightning effects or industrial interferences. In association with DGU, DGR or DGV surge arresters (see diagram), the DE surge arrester provides common and differential surge protection for AC networks, following the CT2 configuration in IEC 60 364-5-534 standard.
Protection is based on specific high energy gas tube which provides much lower residual voltages and very high discharge current capability on a 10/350 μs or 8/20 μs impulses.
