The pre-wired spark gap-based lightning current unit combines with a surge arrester, consisting of a base part and plug-in protection modules. The maximum system availability is due to the RADAX flow that follows current limitation, and there is no tripping of 20A gL/gG fuses, up to short circuit currents of 50kArms. The discharge capacity up to 100kA and protection of terminal services with operating state/fault indication provided by the indicator flag in the inspection window are worth mentioning as well.Finally, the simple replacement of protection modules without tools and the vibration and shock testing according to EN 60068-2 standards complete the list of features.
