Osram SPL PL series pulsed laser diode are suitable for hand-held Laser Range Finders (LRF) used by golfers, hunters, civil engineers, as well as professional laser sensors for distance measuring, positioning, and protection.

SPL PL can also be used in automotive applications such as adaptive cruise control (ACC), pre-crash detection, collision avoidance, adaptive rear lighting, and traffic surveillance (laser speed gun, traffic recording, vehicle classification, distance measurement, and fog detection).

The diodes, suitable for short laser pulses, from 1-100 ns feature optical peak power upto 10 W, laser wavelength 850 nm, laser aperture 200 pm x 2 pm and economical plastic package for high volume applications.

This device is specially made for range finding, security purposes, surveillance activities, illumination, ignition, testing and measurement applications. Technical specifications are mechanical InAIGaAs/GaAs QW-structures, laser aperture 200 pm x 2 pm, high-speed operation of less than 30 ns pulse width and low supply voltage of less than 9 V. It has an embedded FET and capacitors for pulse control system. Theeconomic friendly package comes in low cost small size plastic.

Power laser diode array - SPL AH90_3

The OSRAm Opto Semiconductor has 12 individually addressable pulsed lasers, and each laser channel has an aperture of 200pm x 10pm. The 260pm channel pitch of the monolithic laser die has an optical peak power up to 75W per laser with a 90nm laser wavelength.

Applications include the 3D sensor, range-finding LIDAR, traffic surveillance and industrial/automotive sensors.
