The AMB series helps in quickly responding by eliminating the splines along with overcoming friction in the armature and hub. With the use of leaf springs, the armature is put to its hub, resulting to minimal backlash and the armature rattle is removed. The bore of the brake can also be considered to house a bearing which can lessen the overall length of the machine and cost due to brake body acting as a bearing housing.

Its solid layout diminishes mounting needs and makes for an easy installation. The VB Electromagnetic Brake is a dry type single disc unit which guarantees fast response in high cycle applications. It also features a zero backlash property which involves the installation of the armature to the hub through special leaf springs. Since the brake is built with a compact design, the mounting requirements during the installation are decreased. This one piece design also simplifies the mounting procedure.

To help reduce the noise that happens during operation, a quiet armature option is available in all the models of the V series. High torque versions of the brake are also offered.

An automatic gap adjustment is also optionally available. It can adjust the air gap as the friction surfaces wear, thus increasing the service life by 50%.

The B series brakes come with a patented adjusting mechanism for armature. This mechanism helps in the constant adjustment for wear as well as in producing a constant air gap on the return. Some cycling applications demand consistent armature engagement time over the unit's life. This series is well suited for such requirements of applications.

Stainless steel hubs are used to break up residual magnetism (flux) that is present at the hub. This helps prevent transmission of magnetism into the shaft. The material is also resistant to corrosion and thus reduces the chances of corrosion between the armature and the hub. The flutes in the armature are designed to dissipate the heat generated by friction on engagement. A heavy duty spline is used to connect Armature to hub. The device offers quiet operations as it eliminates the noise between armature and hub spline with its patented design.

The MCNB series by Ogura is a range of electromegnetic spring-applied brakes. The series features its wear-proof friction material and corrosion-proof surfaces.

These offer extended operational life. The MCNB series brake is available in 24VDC, 45VDC or 90VDC power supply. The 45VDC type can be used with half-wave rectification of 100VAC. The series used non-asbestos friction discs, conforming to current asbestos related safety standards. The units is made of stainless steel, making them corrosion-resistant and its disc plate delivers stable operation.

In the updated series, there is an available regular D cut metric bore. It is a plastic molder hub with an anti-rattle characteristic.

KFB series safety and service brake developed several years ago is mainly used in internally and externally ventilated motors of travelling, trolley and hoisting gear in crane installations or for industrial applications. An electric field is built up through the properties of the brake current and overcomes the spring tension of the brake is overcome. The corresponding sub-assemblies including the motor shaft can rotate freely.

During switch off of the brake current or power failure, the electromagnetic field of the brake collapses and the mechanical brake action is transferred to the motor shaft. The motor is applied with brake. The series features dynamic brake with braking torque of 100 to 1600Nm. The compact design offers high work capacity, high wear reserve and offers compatible mounting on every electric motor or gear. The optimum design of the series offers low maintenance cost and operation.

Used primarily as a safety or holding brake in ship building, the MFB brake is useful where robustness, size and work capacity are important. MFB has a covered version which is mounted on the driven side of electric motors used as brake motors. During switching on of the brake current, an electromagnetic field is built up allowing to overcome the spring tension of the brake.. This allows the corresponding sub assemblies to rotate freely including the motor shaft. When a power failure occurs or the brake current gets switched off, the brake's electromagnetic field collapses. The mechanical brake action is then transferred to the motor shaft.
