Electromagnetic brake-discs are state of the art products developed and manufactured by SUCO. Upon installation the mechanic must make sure that there are clearance holes to accommodate the rivet heads and the armature disc must remain free to move axially against the return spring. During the installation the mechanic must provide an air gap of between 0.2 and 0.5 mm between the friction lining and the armature disc which depends on the size of the brake.

During installation the stator must be installed so that it is concentric with the output side whilst the friction lining 3 is bonded directly.

The WR Series Brakes comes in 3 products: first is the WR-180 brakes that has a very compact design used for fixed application and features a magnet mount that can take up to 0.375" maximum bore and 0.5N-m standard torque. Second is the WR-198 brakes that can be used for both fixed and semi dynamic applications that depends upon the friction of the material that is used. It features an extremely compact size with a 5/16" maximum bore and a magnet mount that has a 2.0N-m torque capacity.
