The Posistop MB series Coupler Motor Brakes are designed for various indexing applications, with very low cycle rates (less than 10 CPM), that exclude the use of a clutch/brake, or applications requiring a motor capable of reverse operation. These units feature standard Nema C-Face motor driving through a durable, keyless collet connection and are rated from 6 Ft. Lbs. to 450 Ft. Lbs. or torque. They are commonly used in palletizers, indexing conveyors, shrink wrappers package and general material handling equipment.

The MSB series from Force Control, is an electromagnetic spring-applied multi-disc brake, with a torque range from 6 lb.ft to 1 250 lb.ft. The MagnaShear™ brake is designed for difficult stopping and holding applications.
Features of the MSB include quick mounting and installation, clamped-split-quill shaft connection and an enclosure that is water and dust proof. The mounting and installation method is made easy through sliding on, and tightening 6 bolts. It also employs multiple disc oil shear technology, which provides smooth and dynamic braking, as well as ensures high thermal capability. Plus, it does not require any calibration.
To meet certain demands of highly critical applications, the MSB series can be provided with several options for increased efficiency and robustness.

The Force Control TB-Series Positorq Oil Shear brakes are the newest type of the Drilling Rig Auxiliary Draw-works Brakes. These are specifically made for faster tripping, smoother drilling, and for more convenient operations. This TB-Series brakes will work consistently from 0 RPM to a full speed. These are equipped with a torque that is linear to the actuation pressure, thus making the operation simpler and more consistent. These are enhanced using the Oil shear technology, wherein there are no demands for adjustments. Furthermore, these Oil-shear brakes are speed independent, work well with subsea BOPs, and have a quick-response system. Lastly, these are made with a totally enclosed seal that makes them resistant to the effects of moisture and salt water.
