The CX (D) by Turcon is a double-acting sealing system known for combining a machined elastomer energizer with a low friction sealing element by Turcon. The item has been manufactured to tight tolerances and achieves controller interference, exerting uniform and constant loading on the cap and providing constant positive sealing.

These products have been tested and used in arduous aircraft applications as both piston and rod seals, but also in situations where long service life, minimal leakage and low friction are absolute requirements. Note that a full range of sizes is offered to fit all AS4716 and MIL-G-5514F grooves, and there are various custom designs that can be made available.

This single-acting sealing system designed by Turcon impresses through a combination of a stepped elastomer energizer with a low friction sealing element. In addition to this, the manufacturer has produced this item to tight tolerances, and the product is able to achieve controlled interference by the exertion of a constant, uniform loading on the cap.

Next, the small lip profile provides excellent leakage control under low temperature dynamic conditions, while maintaining low breakout and running friction levels. The seals have been extensively used in arduous aircraft applications, especially in the situations where long service life, minimal leakage and low friction are required.

Double-acting seal - Turcon® Double Delta® II

The first aspect that users will notice about this product is the original seal design, which ensures great performance improvement of the back-up ring and o-ring commonly used in the grooves of type MIL-G-5514F. In addition to this, the double-acting sealing element is energized by an elastomer o-ring.

Next, the design also demonstrates excellent friction properties, as well as good dry running and stick-slip free starting. Note that there is a full range of sizes available, which suit all grooves of type AS4716 and MIL-G-5514F. Custom designs are also available on request.

Chem-Cast Piston Seals provide flawless sealing at temperatures over 300 degrees Fahrenheit and pressures exceeding 50,000 psi. At the same time, they eliminate hydraulic piston drift, cold flow and metal-to-metal contact. Each seal consists of a self-lubricating, reinforced, heat-stabilized thermoplastic OD sealing ring and an oval elastomeric back-up ring.

Chemcast Piston Seals are used in Hyraulic Piston applications. They offer several advantages over conentional o-ring piston seals.
