KENDRION Industrial Magnetic Systems provides single-stroke solenoid, with force range from 20 N to 400 N, and stroke range from 15 mm to 60 mm. This solenoid has a high level of explosion resistance, which makes it ideally suited for use in explosion-prone areas, e.g. in plant construction, in refineries, oil entrepots and on oil platforms.
The unit prevents the event of sparks, arcs and extremely high temperatures. Basically, the stroke movement occurs from the stroke starting position to the stroke end position, while the armature reset is accomplished by external forces, such as by spring, weight or magnetic forces.

The unit is a permanent electromagnetic holding system that is available in circular, flat and rectangular models. The magnet consists of a magnet enclosure that has a DC-excitated coil. The magnetic circuit which is open in turned-on mode enables it to hold ferromagnetic workpieces. When the supply voltage of the unit is turned off, the workpiece being held falls off. The unit can be operated with minimal operating currents, and does not require any servicing.
