The unit is a permanent electromagnetic holding system that is available in circular, flat and rectangular models. The magnet consists of a magnet enclosure that has a DC-excitated coil. The magnetic circuit which is open in turned-on mode enables it to hold ferromagnetic workpieces. When the supply voltage of the unit is turned off, the workpiece being held falls off. The unit can be operated with minimal operating currents, and does not require any servicing.The unit has a supply voltage of 24 V DC, and has a protection rating of IP 65. The circular model measures 15 mm up to 250 mm in diameter, and the rectangular model measures 100 mm up to 600 mm in length. It also has a thermal rating of class E.
