The applications of the S1 TITAN handheld XRF analyzer are extensive, ranging from scrap yard and manufacturing to refinery floor. The S1 TITAN Handheld XRF Spectrometer is one of the lightest tube-based handheld XRF analyzers on the market, being just 1.5 kg inclusive of the battery. It offers a fast analysis speed and superior accuracy which are the two defining attributes of the S1 TITAN. It also includes other innovative features such as an integrated touch-screen color display, SMART GradeTM timing, SharpBeamTM optimized X-ray geometry, 50 kV X-ray tube, Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) and an exceptional touch housing which is sealed against dusty and humid environments.

The S1 TITAN series has four configurations which include models 200, 300, 600 and 800. Bruker's SharpBeam technology is used for all of the models. The S1 TITAN 600 and 800 provide fast analysis times with the FAST SDDTM detector. The S1 TITAN 200 and 300 have a money-saving SiPIN detector configuration.

For each sample, it takes only 30-60 seconds to get highly accurate data, resulting in significant time savings. This highly efficient profiling of contaminated soil results in projects not exceeding deadlines or budgets.

One of the most important factors in profiling of contamination is the density of samples. As a best practice, from the same samples analyzed with XRF in the field, 5% are delivered to the laboratory for confirmation. XRF is a non-destructive method.

The S1 TITAN complies with several regulations and protocols.

Three types of Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) EDS are available, with the detection area being 30mm2, 60mm2 and 100mm2 respectively.
