Porosimeter - max. 400 kPa | Pascal 140

The low-pressure 140 model in the Thermo Scientific Pascal line of mercury porosimeters is fully automated and serves as a sample preparation unit. It is capable of providing reliable and fast porosity characterization in a pore dimension range from 3.8-900μ, and works from vacuum up to a pressure of 400kPA.

The Pascal 140 is capable of high-level automation, simplifying work and assuring a high rate of reproducible results. The ease of use, combined with quality analysis and accuracy, makes this unit a good choice for any analytical task, from quality control to research. The types of sectors that will benefit from the 140 model include cements, ceramics, porous glass, fertilizers, polymers, etc. While mercury is used as intrusion liquid, it is not supplied with the Pascal 140, as it is a hazardous material and thus should be handled with caution.

Pycnometer - 4 - 100 cc

The Thermo Scientific* Pycnomatic ATC or Automatic Temperature Control provides quick and accurate results for skeletal density of determinations of powders and solids. It applies the volumetric gas displacement methodology while featuring an advanced temperature control through a specific Peltier device that gives outstanding instrument stabilization and quicker testing speed. It possesses a multi volume feature that matches the vast number of applications with better repeatability and accuracy. There are 5 different volume configurations ranging from 4 to 100 nominal cc capacity sample cells along with 3 different calibrated reference volumes which are chosen automatically resulting to peak accurate results.

Pore size analyzer / surface area - Surfer

The Thermo-Scientific Surfer is a specific surface area and pore size analyzer that distinguishes and measures microstructural properties of solids and powders by using static volumetric gas adsorption under contained temperature and pressure conditions. Surface area and pore size are important especially for a material's dissolution and/or reaction capacity. The Surfer is ideal for operations concerning very small pore sizes- among the range of meso and micro pores. Examples of these are applications in substances such as activated carbon and zeolites. More so, it is also usable in applications that need to gather a material's surface area and pore dimensions.

Belt-tension measuring device

This spring loaded tensiometer from Carlisle is a belt tensioning device that is capable of manually measuring belt tension on all beld drive specified for V-belts, banded belts, and timing belts. The tensiometer uses the deflection method that enables it to put exact tension force values on any deflection distance that is to be measured. The device is capable of measuring deflection distance of up to 6.5cm or belt lengths up to 4000mm. Excessive tension can lead in excessive stress on bearings, belts and shafts.
