Belt-tension measuring device
This spring loaded tensiometer from Carlisle is a belt tensioning device that is capable of manually measuring belt tension on all beld drive specified for V-belts, banded belts, and timing belts. The tensiometer uses the deflection method that enables it to put exact tension force values on any deflection distance that is to be measured. The device is capable of measuring deflection distance of up to 6.5cm or belt lengths up to 4000mm. Excessive tension can lead in excessive stress on bearings, belts and shafts.
