Stud type track roller

Yoke type track rollers can be single- or double-row units and are fitted on studs. They consist of a needle roller and cage assemblies as well as thick-walled outer ring that has profiled outside surface or full complement sets of needle or cylindrical rollers. Yoke type track rollers can support high axial loads and radial loads.

These loads can come from skewed running and misalignments and are needed for conveying equipment, slideways and drives. The bearings can come with or without the inner ring and also in sealed and open versions.

Ball roller

These self-retaining track rollers have single or double row units and exceptionally thick-walled outer rings. Axial forces in both directions can be supported by these bearings, as well as high radial forces. A crowned or cylindrical external surface is applied to the bearing outer rings of the track rollers.

In instances where there is a misalignment in relation to the raceway, designs with a crowned outside surface are used. Edge stresses must be avoided in these cases. Designed by Schaeffler, the track rollers are supplied with an inner ring, a stud and with a plastic tire on the outer ring.

The newly introduced PWKR and PWTR series from the family of Yoke Type and Stud Type Track Rollers are highly efficient with robust bearing supports and a long operating life. The Yoke and Stud type rollers are most preferred for transmitting high radial load and guarantee an exceptional performance.

The basic rating life seems to have gone up by almost 30 per cent with the use of optimized raceway of the outer ring and interchangeable materials. Additionally, there is a reduction in the stress levels on the mating track owing to enhanced surface quality which results in robust bearing, high reliability and long operating life.

With the optimized raceway geometry, the life quality is 30 per cent higher static and has a high load carrying capacity. It offers surface quality, resistance to wear and greater acceptable rings.
