Astec Tongiani presents "APUANIA GS 3500" bridge milling shaping machine. It is made of cast iron. It stands for the completion of Tongiani's milling and shaping machine series. An oil-bath rail is used for the bridge's advancement. The bridge slides on slant thrust bearings with self-lubricating rack and pinion. Thermowelved guards are used for protection of the piston.
The spindle includes a robust cast iron casting, comprising of two parts. The spindle is sized to accommodate a 625 mm disk. An inclination angle between 0 to 90 degrees is allowed by a rotary skid. Direct current temporized engines are used for driving the trolley. A high precision encoder controls the bridge. DC motors shift the bridge. GS 3500 allows automatic detection of the bridge position, which can be seen on a display placed on the control panel. Cast iron casting has been used for the turning table. It is possible to block the table at 0 degrees, 45 degrees, and 90 degrees.
