The HBZ 800 features sixty tool stations and a four-sided machining feature. It is built with a heavy machine body with a single-column design. With a four-track box way and an indexing table with a servo drive, the machine can accommodate a maximum table load of 3000 kg.

The machine's headstock includes a programmable two-step gearbox which guarantees powerful chip removal across the entire speed range. The HBZ 800's AC spindle motor runs with a power of 15/18.5 kW, while the spindle operates with a speed range of 30 to 3000 rpm.
