This coolant magnetic filter is developed by ERIEZ. It is responsible for the life extension of cutting tools, grinding wheels, pumps as well as coolant fluids. The magnetic filter comes with a radial design with allows the extraction of ferrous elements coming from the coolant. In addition, it meets the coolant tolerances and improves surface finish of grinding and metal working process.

Function
Due to tangential streaming-in of the liquid, a primary swirl develops. The heavier particles in the liquid, due to centrifugal force, are pressed to the wall of the cyclone housing. Due to the tapering of the conical cyclone housing, a secondary swirl develops in the lower area which leads the cleaned coolant lubricant back in opposite direction. The dirt particles, together with a small amount of liquid (approx. 1.5 l/min), are removed through the underflow nozzle. The admission pressure must be approx. 2 bar.

The turbo filter serves to clean the cooling lubricants of machining processes (e.g. milling, turning, drilling). The modular system allows the filter to be used both decentrally in standalone machines as well as be installed in central plants. The filter works in accordance with the reverse flow principle and does not require any filter media. The sludge conveyor with integrated scraper conveyor, which serves as a sediment reservoir, discharge conveyor and fluid buffer, is especially suited for handling the concentrated reverse flow liquid. If required, a bath purification in the bypass flow expands (e.g. belt filter or centrifuge) the plant, in order to prevent a concentration of unsedimented fine particles.

Function
A vacuum pump which has been directly connected with the internal chamber of a filter drum sucks the medium into the interior of the drum. In doing so, the dirt particles on the surface of the filter drum are kept back by means of a superfine filter mesh. Due to the resistance of the accumulating filter cake, the vacuum rises. When an adjustable vacuum is reached, the drum rinsing occurs automatically. An installed scraper chain discharges the sludge. The plant can be controlled via an SPC system or directly from the processing machine.

The Nederman Tramp Oil Separators have been designed to both effectively and economically remove harmful tramp oils resulting in both the extension of the fluid life and a reduction in the problems normally associated with tramp oil contamination. Fluids that enjoy the extension to their useful working life are oil-based, semi-synthetic and synthetic coolants along with alkaline wash waters simply by the efficient removal of free floating, dispersed and loosely emulsified tramp oils from machine tool sumps or central systems and industrial washing machines.

Tramp oil removal from oil-based, semi-synthetic and synthetic coolants along with alkaline wash waters. The Tramp Oil Separator is a three compartment unit. The primary compartment accepts the feed of contaminated fluid from a sump or wash tank via a floating suction device and a pump. Free floating tramp oils, bacterial slime and some suspended solids are separated in this compartment. The outflow from this compartment passes into the secondary compartment which removes the dispersed and loosely emulsified tramp oils by passing through a coalescing media bed.
