The IFM O5D is the latest generation of photoelectric sensors which detects distance and body position. It is the first standard photocell that has time of flight measurement (PMD). It features its effective background suppression and color-dependent spotting. It has also refined time of flight measurement in casing sizes which are the standards of the photoelectic sensors. The O5D detects lustrous surfaces easily and efficiently. Plus, it can sense any point of position may it be in an oblique or straight angle. Its versatility in switching point setting into the closest and precise centimeter is control via “+/-” buttons and display.

PMDLine M30 from ifm is an OID with time of flight measurement (PMD = photonic mixer device). It is a smarter alternative to conventional sensors as it offers several features at a similar price. These include wider ranges, and dependable suppression of background.

It also provides bright, red light with high visibility and high excess gain. By simply turning the rotatable setting ring, the switch point can be easily set. The set distance is shown by a scale, thereby setting of the switch point can be done prior to installation.

M30 allows reliable detection of shiny, matt, dark or light objects independent of their colour. It can operate in any sensor position, including an oblique angle. It supports all types of surface and mounting positions. It features an integrated IO-Link to enable reading of the actual value.

The visible red laser is pointed unto the surface of the road, the sensors output is directly proportional to the measured height . The HF sensor is also compatible with the Corrsys Datron standard mounting equipment.

Applications of this unit includes, sensors for the measuring of height, roll angle, pitch in adherence with the ISO 4138, and steady state circular course drive. Additional applications include spring deflation, tire lift off, dynamic tire flat spotting.

Dual HF sensors are also mounted via the wheel which enables the dynamic camber angle measurement.
