The high-performance “O6 WetLine” photoelectric sensors is a small powerful photocells for the food industry and has the best optical performance. It is built with a stainless steel housing and it easily adjustable via potentiometer. The reflection sensors are diffuse with background suppression and the object colour has no influence on the range. Also, it is available as a through-beam or retro-reflective system. The range of the sensor doesn't affect the colour of the object to be detected. It has a special feature that assures reliable operation even in steam, smoke or highly reflective environments. The potentiometers allows residue-free cleaning and has a transparent black cover so that it will function even in bright lighting conditions, the LEDs are visible.

The IFM Photoelectric M18 sensors are ideally used for bleak procedures in wet areas. The materials used are suitable to be used with food, which is supported by its ECOLAB certification. Operation is ensured safe due to food grade IP 67, 68, and 69K sealing concepts together with a steel housing and a plastic lens. Moreover, production is maximized because of its 6 m long PVC cable. Also, it can easily be used because of its plug - and - play feature. The ranges are pre-set, and units with background suppression are also available with range choices of 100mm, 200mm, or 300mm.

The Leuze HRT46B is a universal, red-light scanner that either has a teach-in function that can operated through a teach line or a mechanical adjustment. It is an adjustable scanner with background suppression and has an extra bright light spot for basic alignments. Its multiturn potentiometer gives the scanner an extra scanning range, and switching outputs for optimal application. It is very reliable in detecting light and dark surfaces including inclined ones. The Pepperl-Fuchs Series of Diffuse Mode Sensors uses proximity sensing, which goes like this: light emitted hits a "white test card", considered a standard target, which diffuses the light at random angles. Light bounces back to the receiver which identifies the target through its color, size, and finish. This now determines the set-up of the sensor - whether it should be closer to the target or not, or whether the sensitivity must be adjusted. Three various types of diffused mode sensing are available namely, the Diffused with background suppression, the Diffused with foreground suppression, and the Diffused with background evaluation.
