Photoelectric sensor / direct reflection sensor - max. 2 500 mm
PEPPERL & FUCHS The Pepperl-Fuchs Series of Diffuse Mode Sensors uses proximity sensing, which goes like this: light emitted hits a "white test card", considered a standard target, which diffuses the light at random angles. Light bounces back to the receiver which identifies the target through its color, size, and finish. This now determines the set-up of the sensor - whether it should be closer to the target or not, or whether the sensitivity must be adjusted. Three various types of diffused mode sensing are available namely, the Diffused with background suppression, the Diffused with foreground suppression, and the Diffused with background evaluation.
