The 160 / 170 series of dressing devices are specifically designed for dressing with diamond roll dresser on grinding machines. Available in widths of 50 mm, 100 mm, and 150 mm they are constructed out of aged GG25 machine castings in order to achieve optimum dampening properties. ASF dressing spindles are available for each holding width and each holding diameter as outlined on page 96.

Drive
The spindle is driven by a controllable hydraulic motor.
Bearings
Spindle bearings are of the highest precision and are pre-loaded for maximum performance and long life. A very rigid frame structure and an optimized balancing system ensure quiet and precise operation.
Lubrication
All dressing spindles in the 150 series have permanent grease lubrication.
Sealing
The spindle is sealed by a labyrinth and active air-barrier to prevent contamination from entering into the spindle bearings.
Precision
The base surface is ground. The parallelism of the base area to the dressing axis is < 0.003 mm.
