The device is a new multi-sensor area velocity flow meter designed for use in municipal storm water systems, raw sewage, combined effluent and irrigation water setups. The tool offers three ultrasonic sensors that continuously measure the velocity at varying points in the channel, providing the average velocity reading for the flow monitoring. It will calibrate to channels of any shape, and is resistant to fouling and corrosion. In addition, the unit measures forward and reverse flows. These flows include a backlit flow rate display, a totalizer, three 4-20mA outputs and a dual control relays.

The monitor can be used for level transmitting for tank inventory processes with continuous control and display. It can also be used as an open channel flow model with a totalizer and display. The design includes a backlit digital display and IP-66 electronics enclosure. The non-contacting sensor is made of Teflon and PVC, and is rated for ranges up to 10-m, or 15-m as an option. Other standard features include two programmable control relays, an isolated 4 to 20-mA output, and level alarms. Pump alternation and control is provided by the relays. Plug and play electronics and intrinsically safe sensors are available as options.
