The mGuard rs4000 3G from the Factory Line convinces with reliable security and performance in a robust, stainless steel casing for industrial DIN rail mounting.

Reliability ensured

The mGuard rs4000 3G security appliances of the Factory Line, engineered and manufactured in Germany, combine the powerful mGuard hardware platform and reliable mGuard firmware. Based on a hardened embedded Linux from Innominate, the mGuard firmware integrates four complementary security components: a bidirectional stateful firewall, a flexible NAT router, a highly secure VPN gateway, a dedicated DMZ port, and optionally, industry-compatible protection from malware. Due to its front-side configuration memory in the form of an exchangeable SD card, the mGuard rs4000 3G can be quickly and easily put into operation, updated and exchanged.

As successor to the industry standard mGuard industrial rs, the mGuard rs4000 is comparable to this model not only in its space requirements on DIN rails, but also in its functionality. The new mGuard factory line offers high-end industrial security in the form of an extremely powerful and fail-safe product portfolio, which is also ideal for sophisticated high-availability scenarios and complex security architectures.

Security for production
The mGuard rs4000 is very well-suited for the decentralized protection of production cells or individual machines against manipulations. Production installations can only be reliably protected through decentralized end-point security from sabotage and resulting production downtimes.

Industry-standard remote maintenance
To ensure software-independent remote maintenance scenarios, the mGuard rs4000 can be used as a VPN gateway for IPsec-encrypted VPN tunnels. Equipped with the respective VPN licenses, the mGuard rs4000 functions as a remote maintenance infrastructure for the secure connection of machines and plants.

Industry-standard remote maintenance
The new mGuard rs2000 portfolio positions itself as a low-priced field equipment line for secure remote maintenance scenarios. As a standard feature, all mGuard rs2000 devices support virtual private networks on the basis of the open Internet standard IPsec. For software-independent remote maintenance scenarios, the mGuard rs2000 can be used as a VPN client for up to two parallel, IPsec-encrypted VPN tunnels. It functions as a robust remote maintenance infrastructure for the secure connection of globally distributed machines and control units.

Simple and self-sufficient
The functional range of the field line firmware is reduced to the essential, but is nevertheless compatible. A simple "2-click" firewall enables quick start-up of mGuard rs2000 devices in the field, highlighting their ease of use as robust, industry-standard field devices for trouble-free, self-sufficient operation.
