The Multi-anode X-ray Source has an accelerated filament electron source and does not require water cooling or flow of gas. The product has dual balanced output for calibrations which makes it extremely stable, debris free and electrically silent. These is originally form the two views of the single emitting spot where the electron beam from the single hairpin filament collapses with the interchangeable anode.

It has six vacuum interchangeable anodes and emission follows anode valence band structure because of this the machine is capable to mount up to six anodes in the vacuum vessel. And it is very easy to switch between anodes under vacuum conditions. The measurement of the focus spot still depends on the working parameters of the source. Lastly, it has additional anodes it can be availed upon request and it also comes with complete power supply.

Photomultiplier Tubes (PMTs) are widely known for their extremely sensitive photon detection capabilities. They have applications in a wide range of spectroscopy applications. They possess large photosensitive areas, secondary emission multiplication, low dark noise and fast time response . Different tube design (head-on/side-on) and techniques (large photosensitive areas, secondary-emission multiplication, low dark noise and fast time response) in PMT enables them to detect Extreme Vacuum Ultraviolet to Near Infra-Red spectrum, including Visible Light. The side-on design, where light enters from the side of PMT, is quite commonly used.

Model 654 PMT Housing Assembly accommodates such side-on PMTs with diameters up to 28 mm and active in the wavelength range 30–1100 nm. The assembly accommodates scintillator for use in detection of 30nm light, and linear detectors for use in the range 30–300nm. The housing is a sturdy structure providing excellent electrical noise (RF) shielding, with attachments to fit McPherson slit assemblies, O-rings to ensure light-tight operation, and connectors for current output and high voltage input.
