The Beckhoff KS8000 communication program links up to the BK8000 and BK8100 serial bus couplers or with B800 and B810 fieldbus box modules through a simple PC interface. The unit uses an OCX with any programming language based on the Component Object Model setup with Visual Basic, VC++ and Java connections amongst others. A DLL may also be added.

The KS8000 permits access to more processes with a serial PC interface and reduced time that varies based on the size of the process image being used. This may operate with an RS232 coupler, 38,400 baud, a process image and more. It takes about 6ms for one word to be processed or 20ms for about 15 words to be processed through the unit.

The TwinCAT PLC IEC 61131-3 Multi-PLC is a software program for use on the Windows NT, 2000, XP or Vista operating systems to keep any information secure. It has been programmed with online support and may use TCP/IP fieldbuses on an IPC.

The program operates in a variety of languages used in the IEC 61131-3 standard and uses a development program with a code size that is stronger than what a traditional PLC system may use.

The connection may be supported online while all traditional PLC facilities may be used as required. The design is made for Microsoft interfaces on the PLC.
