Communications software - KS8000
The Beckhoff KS8000 communication program links up to the BK8000 and BK8100 serial bus couplers or with B800 and B810 fieldbus box modules through a simple PC interface. The unit uses an OCX with any programming language based on the Component Object Model setup with Visual Basic, VC++ and Java connections amongst others. A DLL may also be added.The KS8000 permits access to more processes with a serial PC interface and reduced time that varies based on the size of the process image being used. This may operate with an RS232 coupler, 38,400 baud, a process image and more. It takes about 6ms for one word to be processed or 20ms for about 15 words to be processed through the unit.
