T8400 Series - Blackout Limiter of Littlefuse is used to monitor almost 4 generators. The T8400 Blackout Limiter makes the fast clearing of the blackout easy. It is useful for almost 4 generators with 1 unit and the 8 generators are enough for the 2 units. If the blackout occurs, the first generator is required to have more than 90% voltage to close the breaker of the generator. T8400 requires 24 Vdc signal over the 15 and 16 terminals to become active and this will be an indication of the blackout.
Now all the generators will be checked and the first generator will contain more than 90 percent voltage to close the contact to the generator breaker. If the generator number 1 is the 1st generator with 90% voltage, this will take 1 second to complete the process. If the generator 2 is the first generator on the same voltage, the process requires 1.5 seconds. If the generator 3 acts as the first one, then the process requires 2 second. The addition of the second unit delays the time up to 3, 3.5, 4.5 seconds. 8 generators can be handled at a time. In case, the one of these generators has been switched on, the blackout signals 24 Vdc should be switched off.

These are the FlexGen controller which are utilized for paralleling of generators with each other or with the grid. One FlexGen controller is to be installed for each of the generator in the installation ad handles all electrical control. There are two versions available which are the Basic and Advanced. Both of these versions have basic functions like autosynchronizing, frequency control, active load sharing, dead bus monitoring and reverse power protection. With these it also contains a reactive load sharing, voltage matching, power factor control, grid-parallel operation control, and protection against excitation loss, RoCoF (df/dt), and vector shift. FlexGen Advanced also has over-current and short-circuit protection and power management features like preferential load trip, load depending start/stop as well as large consumer control. Both models have MODBUS RTU interface which enables integration with equipment from other manufacturers, like control and monitoring from PC with a graphic SCADA interface.FlexGen is type-approved by major marine classification societies and is to be utilized for marine power management . . .
