KEMTRON technologies developed a full range of mud mixing equipment like venture hoppers, mud guns, jet shearing systems and hydrofoil agitators to offer highest efficiency in blending. Bentonite, polymers and other powder additives are also being produced to help operators attain the properties essential for drilling mud like viscosity for hole cleaning, water loss control and filter cake build up. On weighted mud applications it is important to handle barite during potential blow-out applications.. Though KEMTRON systems generate homogenous drilling mud, its in-house engineering team fulfills customer’s demands through system customization. It offers custom hoppers, chemical injection systems and operational control systems as per customer demands. All the systems are designed in accordance to ISO 9001 and European CE Machinery Directive Standards.

Two basic-No Moving Parts- Motionless Mixer designs are offered for use in turbulent and laminar flow mixing applications.

The ISG (interfacial surface generator)consists of individual mixing elements that are stacked in a tubular housing. The ends of the elements are shaped so that the adjacent elements form a tetrahedral chamber. Four holes bored through each element provide the flow paths. The holes are at oblique angles so that material near the periphery (i.e. near the pipe wall) on the inlet side of the element emerges near the center on the outlet side. The material exiting one element then enters near the center into the second element and exits near the wall. This radial mixing eliminates the wall smearing effect that can be otherwise encountered when mixing viscous materials.

Two basic-No Moving Parts- Motionless Mixer designs are offered for use in turbulent and laminar flow mixing applications.

The elements are made of two inclined semi-elliptical plates opposite to each other. The mixing operation is based on the splitting and diverting of input streams. In turbulent flow applications, the elements enhance the random dispersion of substreams so that a unit with six elements is sufficient for most applications.
