The Rotary Electric Drive Unit is a robust and compact electro-hydraulic self-contained actuator designed to operate quarter turn valves. The unit has an electrical connector for power supply and 2 connectors for end position detection via adjustable limit switches. The maintenance-free actuator has a modular design; within the standard modules the parameters can be customized.

The mass of acceleration represents a critical pneumatics problem. The actuater might cause self-destruction due to its kinetic energy. Certain clients have already faced this unwanted experience. The rotating speed can be controlled using throttle valves. Before reaching the end positions and damping the accelerated mass, hydraulic shock absorbers can be installed. This creates improvement of the situation even though the result isn't completely satisfactory.

The HPA or Hydraulic-Pneumatic Rotary Actuator was created to sort out the problem. The work was divided into dual steps: the actuation work would be done by the compressible, clean and cheap air medium. But controlling the moving mass of non-compressible oil medium finds use in hydraulic system (closed). This allows the exact adjustment of the speed of rotation. There is the possibility of a restart after an E-stop without problems. There are possibilities of two adjustable and independent rotation speeds. This provides a guarantee of a constant and precise service.

The hydraulic-pneumatic rotary actuator, or HPA, was developed to deal with accelerated mass in pneumatics. If an actuator is not protected, it may self-destruct due to the kinetic energy. Speed can be controlled by throttle valves. Hydraulic shock absorbers can be installed to help dampen accelerated mass before it reaches the end positions. However, the valves and shock absorbers alone are not totally satisfactory. This is where these rotary actuators come in.

The compressible, clean air continues to work for actuation. In order for the moving mass to be controlled, oil, which is non-compressible, is used in the closed hydraulic system. This setup allows for the rotation speed to be adjusted to a precise amount. After an E-stop, restart can be done without any problems. There are two rotation speeds that are independent as well as adjustable.

Of course, one can use the throttle valve to hone the rotating speed. It is still possible to install hydraulic shock absorbers when damping the accelerated mass.

This is usually done before the end positions are reached. This is the short-term solution but the result usually doesn't justify it. The company has developed the Hydraulic-Pneumatic Rotary Actuator-HPA to address this problem. There are actually two steps in this task.

First, the compressible, and inexpensive medium air will do the work done by the actuation. However, if you to control the moving mass, non compressible medium oil is usually the one used specifically in closed hydraulic systems. This can adjust the rotation speed precisely. The E-stop can then restart without encountering any problems.
