The Wheel Incremental Transducer WPT is an incremental wheel pulse transducer which is used for the acquisition of wheel rotation as well as the calculation of wheel speed, vehicle speed and the distance traveled.

The WPT sensor is used in various measurements including wheel slip measurement, ABS testing, acceleration and braking tests, and measurement of the difference between wheel speeds when using more than one wheel pulse transducer, as with all-terrain vehicles.

Variable reluctance speed sensor / with analog output

Honeywell features VRS sensors in various categories such as high resolution, output and temperature, power output, harsh setting applications, non-expensive molded versions and major purposes. Operating with Variable Reluctance Sensing technology, Honeywell speed sensors are tough and easy equipment inhibiting the use of outer voltage source. As the speed of the controlled device alters, the output signal of a VRS sensor which is an ac voltage, differs in amplitude and wave frequency, and is often indicated in peak to peak voltage (Vp-p).

It's suitable for motor RPM measurement on grinders, drills, lathes and automatic screw machines; wheel-slip measurement on autos and locomotive, and gear speed measurement among others.

The SIEMENS Milltronics TASS is a rugged speed sensor with a rugged, IP65 rated design meant for easy and low cost installation and can be installed to any Milltronics belt scale integrator. It is mainly used on mobile crusher application where space is small. The Milltronics TASS is linked to a conveyor belt scale and provides signals to an integrator that calculates the rate of material being conveyed. The five spoked wheel generates 5 pulses per revolution are detected by its internal proximinity switches the wheel rotates on the return belt.

The SITRANS WS100 is a compact speed sensor that is suited for aggregate and mineral processing industries. It is a pulley shaft-driven that monitors and detects speed using a magnetic mounting. The shaft rotation is converted into a pulse train of 8 pulses per revolution. After which, these pulses are then put in into a Milltronics belt scale integrator for pulse interpretation. The interpretations are used to calculate the flow rate, material totalization, and belt speed. On the other hand, the non-belt scale applications uses the WS100 for rotational speed monitoring when the device is directly connected to a PLC.

It weighs in at only 2.68 pounds, features a robust aluminum-cast housing construction, and transforms shaft rotation into a pulse chain of 32, 256, 1,000, or 2,000 PPR by means of a highly accurate rotary visual recorder. In addition, the SITRANS WS300 is also corrosion-repellent, is IP65-rated, mounting-friendly, and has a bi-directional turning capability, making it easier to travel counterclockwise, or otherwise.
