EMO Springs' Clock Type Springs are utilized for energy storage-related applications. These springs are also used for operations that involve re-winding and counterbalancing systems. They are available in 3 configuration versions: open-coiled versions (only a number of required turns), close-coiled configurations, and close-coiled pre-stressed versions (more turns are required). These 3 model configurations are chosen based on customer and application requirements.

All Clock Type Springs sport strip widths of 2.00 mm to 150 mm, strip thicknesses of 0.05 mm to 6.5 mm, and a wide range of materials used for body constructions.

These are Constant Force Springs manufactured by George Emmott (Pawsons) which features its ability to extend through a working range of any position having the same force. These tools are composed of different tightly wound coil of spring steel or stainless steel having an inner end which is compatible to a shaft and its outer end that is extended.

Its natural curvature across the material width creates a stable retraction force. This is the ideal tool for motor arrangement wherein the spring is essential to the operation in a smaller drum. Using this tool, it is possible to create a constant torque motor or rewind system that suits to counterbalancing operation.
