Eaton DS7 soft start controller replaces, without any difficulty, existing soft starters, wye-delta starters, or NEMA/IEC across-the-line starters.
A voltage ramp is given to the motor by the voltage ramp start method for a constant increase in torque. Initial voltage values and the ramp duration are set by users to full voltage conditions.
The Soft Stop feature is useful when there is a need for the stop-time to be more than the coast-to-stop time. The feature enables controlled load stopping and is particularly suitable for loads with high friction with a risk of system damage in case of a sudden stop.
