In order to ensure maximum coolant resistance and accuracy, the top plate is made of metal which gives chucks many years of life. Additional tops plates can be mounted on the chucks and made to fit into particular workpieces, For maximum datum accuracy, side and end stops are plated with chromium. To allow ease of part polishing chucks can be magnetized partially. The handles are designed ergonomically for easy switching and are detachable.
