EWAG WS 11 and WS 11-SP universal grinding machines have been designed for manufacturing and regrinding high-accuracy micro components and production tools out of hard metal, steel and other materials.
The WS11 is suitable for manufacturing and regrinding of micro tools and production components from hard metal, HSS and other materials. It features a hydrostatic grinding spindle, which results in uniform distribution of thermal expansion, thereby allowing tolerances of 0.0002 mm. Also it has an optical measurement system, which allows 1:1 observation and monitoring of the machining process during the engagement of the grinding wheel.
The WS 11 offers various other benefits. It allows grinding and measuring of cylindrical and conical tools in only one clamping. It enables cost-effective grinding of both individual parts as well as small batches. The machine can quickly and easily adapt to the appropriate machining task due to the vast variety of accessories.
