The new EWAMATIC LINEAR grinding machine is a cost-effective solution that utilizes a CNC-controlled production grinding centre to cater to specific grinding requirement. It is perfect for machining rotationally-symmetrical tools and indexable inserts in PCD (polycrystalline diamond). It makes use of a unique kinematic concept allowing a number of grinding operations to be done in a single clamping. It operates based on automatic charging, integrated dressing of grinding wheels and machine's dimension measurements. It features an axis resolution of 0,0001 mm and a grinding spindle drive of 7,5 kW with a grinding wheel that has a diameter of up to 250 mm.
