The ISCAR Pentacut Insert has been designed for use for a wide variety of uses including parting, grooving chamfering, and recessing. The unit provides a durable and heavy duty insert for higher machining parameters, and five cutting edges that improves production and reduces costs. The unit offers a strong clamping design, and provides an unmarred straight surface quality even when used on groove bottoms and sidewalls. The unit is also equipped with a modified C-type chipformer with an expanded feed range of 0.05-0.25 mm/rev. This unit is has been developed as a successor to the PENTA 24 pentagonal insert.

Through coolant parting insert - JET-CUT

The DGNC is an insert specifically designed to part and groove on stainless steel and alloys at high temperature. Heat coming from machined components can adhere to the cutting edge. This insert can reduce that heat due to its integrated Direct Jet Cooling ISCAR technology that provides efficient cooling to the cutting edge. It also have a coolant outlet located near the cutting edge to solve the problem regarding chips that stops the coolant from getting to the cutting edge.

Furthermore, this insert with coolant supplied to the cutting zone can reduce flank and cratering rates. This in turn provide longer tool life and better surface finish to machined components. It is the ideal solution for grooving and parting on high temperature alloys and on stainless steel.

Ingersol is pleased to announce the expansion of our CBN insert used for the turning of hardened steel and cast iron. These inserts come with comprehensive hardness rates, and moderate fracture toughness. The chemical make up of these new grades and the new state of the art brazing process give high-quality surface finishes, and stabilized tool lives.

These new releases represent extensive complements to the existing line of high performance CBN grades TB650 and KB90A. Options that are located within the new arsenal of CBN inserts include standard tip lengths, mini-tip lengths, single tips, multiple tips, full-top round inserts and wiper geometry. Other models are also available, such as the TB610. This model is oxidation-resistant and chemically stable, while the TB670 configuration is durable and impact-resistant.
