The twinEX twin screw extruder has its latest design that makes it ideal for processors that is finding a quality extruder with a broad processing window and process device support from the manufacturer. The series merges all the advantages that play an important role in the use of the extruder. The machine sizes ranges from 72 to 173 mm in diameter with the 28:1 and 34:1 ratio.
The manufacturer provides individual testing facilities for customers because of the in-house PVC mixing and offer maximum choice of solutions in the areas of metering, tooling and calibration. Moreover, the series consists of custom-made anti-wear protection which is made up of tungsten carbide, molybdenum and chrome that are combined with top-quality nitrided surfaces.

Homogenization has high demands on bimodal polyethylene due to the wider molecular weight distribution. It is essential that the long chain molecules responsible for the end product strength be mixed into the matrix of a short chained molecule. The ZSK NT, which was developed by Coperion, consists of two ZSK MEGAcompounders suitable for the mixing process. In the first stage, a high screw speed process melts the polymer. In the second, a low speed process mixes the different viscosities homogeneously.
