Fluidized bed cooler

The multi-stage fluid bed coolers are tailored to operate in unison with a dust collector and a system fan to attract atmospheric air as pressure decreases. It was improved to provide simple yet important solutions for the temperature regulation and maintenance of the cleanliness of granular feeds.

At first, the feed goes into an airlock and is distributed on perforated plate tray which has especially designed holes and is individually vibrated by an electric activator. Second, upward flowing air passes through these openings and produces a moistened bed of particles while separating the minute particles away toward the dust collector. The wet bed then determines the particles residence time prior to being transferred to the next level plate. Finally, each particle goes into a collection hopper in which they exit the system through a valve.

Metso’s fuel beds produce up to 120 tpd and are perfect for small production or small sized stone. It can be fired using gas or coal. Metso’s system comes with a feed and product material handling and storage system, a feed preheater, a fluid bed calciner, waste heat recovery, a fluid bed product cooler and a dust collection system. This system is built with a single controller for easy maneuvering. Since it is built with a fluid bed calciner, there will be less moving parts coming in contact with the product. The fuel bed will then able to calcine much finer material that other calciners tried and tested in the industry over 60 years.

Calciner preheater

The preheaters from METSO is available in either rectangular or polygonal shapes. Composed of a floor, roof, and rams, it admits the limestone at the top and flows down and piles up. Hydraulic cylinders push the rams in order to slide the pile down to the kiln. The unit is made to extract the heat from the exhaust while simultaneously heating the stone. The rams work at preset intervals to provide exact feed to the kiln.
