Compact power units represent the most compact form of hydraulic supply,
offering high flexibility and minimum installation dimensions. Small flange
dimensions and the optional equipment with stacking modules, allow
the unit to be adjusted so it can accommodate any installation position
and receive upgrades at any time. Control can be flanged-mounted directly
to the power unit or integrated as a single stacking module near the consumers,
based on the available installation space.
HYDAC compact power units are offered in various forms to cover a wide
range of applications. They are produced with air-cooled motors
and oil-immersed motors. As an added option, water cooling is also available for one unit.

The Hybox is a very compact and an efficient small unit. It has a flexible valve concept and it also can be integrated with the HYDAC ML series. Its tank size varies from 20 to 400 l and can handle a maximum pressure of 350 bar with flow rate of 1 to 60 l per minute depending on the Hybox varian.

These compact machines also include a gear pump, a reservoir, internal valves, load hold checks, and relief valves. They were created for intermittent services. Four pump sizes are available and the flows produced by them measure: .0098, .0187, .0246, and .0321 cubic inches per revolution, depending on the model.

Single or bidirectional rotation is a feature of these units. Double-acting cylinders and two-way motors can be operated using the reversible, two directional units. Meanwhile, the single units are typically used for accumulator charges and to power one-directional hydraulic motors and cylinders.
