T7900 is an electronic potentiometer that can be used as a converter between pulse contacts. The device requires control adjustment using a voltage or current signal, such as electronic speed controllers. Note that the device acts in a way that makes it similar to the motorized potentiometer, except that the outputs are a voltage in this case, or a pulse or current.

When it comes to generator control applications, the T7900 can be used in combination with a load sharer or synchronizer, being able to convert increased and decreased pulses of modules into a suitable analog voltage current of PWM. The analog output signal can also be used as a control input to the electronic speed controller.

T7900 Electronic Potentiometer is utilized as converter between pulse contacts and a gadget obliging control change by a voltage or current indicator, for example, an electronic speed controller. Unit provides maximum resistance at minimum current and minimum resistance at maximum current in terms of the rated power. Smaller rated resistance values means that the rheostat may have a larger rated maximum current capacity. For varying load currents and resistance ranges ones needs to incorporate different resistance materials that are able to withstand current while achieving the resistance values. Customers should provide the best suitable resistance ranges that are used for your applications.

As rheostats do not have a standard resistance value, all are designed and manufactured to a customer's specific requirements. Different load currents and resistance ranges require different resistance materials to withstand the current and achieve the resistance value. In terms of rated power, a smaller rated resistance value means that the rheostat can have an increased rating regarding the maximum current capacity. For power larger than 3kW, please refer to MFPS's tandem mounted rheostat bank. Standard features include an ammeter, a voltmeter, a wattmeter, an over current protection, a thermal protection and a cooling fan system.
