The REC series is a line of compact-sized encoders manufactured by Elap. It is suitable for use in industrial applications requiring short body dimensions.

The device can be used with a maximum body length of 38 mm. It features 2 to 12500 pulses per revolution, and output signals. The line-driver or push-pull type allows coupling of the encoders in any kind of electronic control.

The series comes in various mechanical versions, such as the REC520, REC540, REC620, REC440, and REC450. These versions can satisfy different user/application requirements.

The RM22 series of encoders is known for the advanced operating mode of the devices, which is based on the magnetic principle. One single diametrally-polarized magnet can activate the Hall sensors that are integrated into the ASIC. In addition to this, the sensor can run contactless, which guarantees a higher reading accuracy and an endless mechanical life for the product. Next, the small size and compact design allows employing the devices into various applications.

The case is made of aluminum and allows a high protection degree, with the IP64-rated items being fit for dusty, greasy and harsh environments in general. The encoders in the RM22 series can also be supplied in an absolute or incremental version, benefiting from various output formats. Finally, the body measures 22mm, while the shaft is 6mm, with the 20mA current consumption being specific for these products.

The E620 is a square flanged type of incremental encoders. The centering mask of the encoder has a 31.75mm diameter. These encoders consist of an ABS plastic or metal case housing. The connection, position, supply voltage, output signal and shaft diameters can be chosen on the options. The pulse per revolution ranges from 2 to 12500.

The device uses a 8/24 or 5Vdc voltage and consumes 30/80mA power. The device uses axial or radial connector and cable outlet. The output signals are NPN open collector, push-pull, 5Vdc and 8/24Vdc line driver. The device consist of a IP64 protection to avoid short circuits and reversal of polarity. The maximum counting frequency of the device is 100 KHz – 200 KHz for ppr > 1000.

Incremental rotary encoder - ø 58 mm, 2 - 36 000 ppr | E520

The range of incremental encoders with 58 mm round flange includes different mechanical types: the series E520, with centering mask diameter 50 mm, compatible with the international standard SIZE23, E540, with centering mask diameter 36 mm and E510 with centering mask diameter 31.75.
All the types are housed in a plastic or metal case (metal-cased series are named RE). The encoder series RE530, with international standard flange type RE0444 avails exclusively on the alumium housing.
The connection type and position can be chosen among different options, as well as the supply voltage, the output signal formats and the shaft diameters.
The pulses per revolution number ranges from 2 to 10000 – or up to 36000 in the series named REV, with aluminium case and glass disc.
The zero reference pulse option is available for all the series (type E521/RE521/REV521 etc.).
